For some reason after I installed Boot Camp, my os x terminal started to point to the Boot Camp drive instead of my os x home directory by default! Once in the terminal I know how to switch back an forth and am able to do that, but I was wondering how to make my terminal default back to my os x home folder?
I've checked my Home Director...
I would like some help deciding which training will be most beneficial based on others * experience*. I am the only Software guy at a small company (200-300 employee's & 4 IT) with an official title of "Applications Developer."
I am mostly self taught in c#, SQL, and various web technology's. My boss is a big supporter of training a...
Hello,
I have a Windows 7 RC on a boot camped MacBook Air. Everything works great except that VS 2008 won't instal on the system. It complains that the Setup.exe is not valid. Strangely enough, Visual Studio Express Edition SP1 installs ok.
I used to have Win7 Beta on Parallels and there it installed ok.
Any ideas?

Hi,
I frequently reboot into Windows on a bootcamp partition in my Mac Pro (e2008) (Mac Os X 10.5.6). Because I like to use the time it takes to reboot for other things instead of just sitting around I'd like to write/execute a simple applescript that would basically do:
Quit all running user applications
Then*—after the apps have bee...
I'm trying to do our training office's job and find a good training boot camp for the MCPD ASP.NET Developer v3.5 certification. I'm trying to find one that is in the US and includes the exams as part of the boot camp (leave the camp certified). I am finding a few, but was wondering if anyone has any recommendations or any "Definitely ...

I am attempting to install Windows XP on my Macbook. I use bootcamp assistant and partion 32GB for windows. I insert the XP disk and I go through the initial blue screen disk formatting screens. While this has been asked in a general sense on another thread or two, I'm looking specifically for feedback and experiences with MacBook Pro running Windows 7 under boot camp. I'm doing .NET 3.5 ASP.NET and WCF stuff and have the option to trade out my latitude D830 for a MBP. I've heard here and there that from people who dual boot t...
I attended an iphone bootcamp in early '08 and have TA'd a few since. I've recently been asked to teach one and I'm curious what YOU would want to be covered.
Keep in mind, the class is 3x days (8 hours each day, minus 1hour for lunch)
My WIP list currently is:
Introduction to the iphone hardware

I'm having a weird problem with running cl.exe that has me stumped. In a large VS2008 solution consisting of C/C++ projects, I have one project that runs some scripts to do some extra processing. The project consists of a pre-build event, which calls a Perl script (ActiveState Perl is on the machine). This Perl script then calls cl.ex...

I notice the following strange thing: Silverlight button.Click event isn't fired while tapping the touchpad under XP/Bootcamp. Pressing the touchpad (that produces the nice "schhhkklong" sound) then fires the click event as expected.
Except silverlight every buttons under XP/Bootcamp UI reac...
The title pretty much sums it up. I would use VS2010 for SilverLight, WPF, Windows Phone 7, etc. I just want to know if there's any compilation problems, or potential bugs you wouldn't see on a PC, or you name it. Just want to make sure before I buy. Thing is I'm thinking about buying both a MacBook pro and a PC Laptop, but if I can get ...
I am running Boot Camp 2.2 (just updated the software and restarted) on my Mac Mini, which has 2GB of RAM in it. When I launch Windows Vista, my available RAM is only 1GB (it lists 1.00GB in Computer -> Properties, and only 876MB of TOTAL Physical Memory in Performance under Task Manager). I'm curious as to why this happens...is this a b...
