This is an accident and I don't think there's a solution. But I'm asking anyways.
I introduced SVN to our webshop and I set all the dev pc's htdocs as part of the repository. (my first mistake)
Now, one of my coworkers are working on a project and didn't commit their code to svn (second mistake). His reasoning was that he's the only on...
I'm interested in using a Reed-Solomon error correction [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reed%E2%80%93Solomon_error_correction as a reference] to try to rebuild files from partial bits of a file. I'm doing this as a personal interest.
I recently read about WuaLa [http://www.wua.la/] and I'm interested in how they leverage Reed-Solomon to r...

Hi everyone,
I've made a pretty stupid mistake with a git repository and lost some files I really need.
I thought I added all new files to the repo before I commited the change to the current branch (didn't happen though). Then I created a new branch and deleted these files again from the new branch within TextMate with "move to trash"...

"WARNING: YOUR FILE CANNOT BE SAVED! ALL CHANGES WILL BE LOST! CANNOT WRITE THE FILE!"
As this happens occasionally, I did what I normally do, and I hit :...
