Hi,
I have a interesting question:
I want to split the year into 4 quarters. What is the idea,
A quarter can be different:
The HTML Code:
<div class="quarterBody">
<span>04-29-2010</span>
<span>06-29-2010</span>
<span>08-29-2010</span>
</div>
jQuery (javascript) is total wrong, I hope that w:

I need to break apart a string that always looks like this: something -- something_else. I need to put "something_else" in another input field. Currently, this string example is being added to an HTML table row on the fly like this:
tRow.append($('<td>').text($('[id$=txtEntry2]').val()));
I figure "split" is the way to go but there is...
I've developed a print mechanism for an intranet application running over HTTPS. Using javascript and jQuery I create an iframe in the page and populate it with all the dynamic data that should be printed.
The iframe has a source of /MyController/Print which just returns a blank dummy page. This is then replaced with the dynamic content...
Using Jquery preferably, how do I detect if an element is within the viewable client area of a browser?
I'm dynamically creating a menu from a dataset, and when the list grows too long, the height of the resulting menu causes part of it to fall below the browser bottom client area. How do I detect this and act accordingly?

Can someone please help me out with a JavaScript/jQuery solution for this arithmetic problem:
I need to subtract one number from the other.
The problem is that the numbers have a dollar sign (because its money), therefore jQuery is treating them as strings instead of numbers.
I have created two variables - toalAssets and totalLiabil...

I have a table where each row has 13 TD elements. I want to show and hide the first 10 of them when I toggle a link. These 10 TD elements all have an IDs with the prefix "foo" and a two digit number for its position (e.g., "foo01"). What's the fastest way to select them across the entire table?

Hi, I'm trying to fadeIn and fadeOut a transparent png using JQuery. Of course, it looks slick in Firefox, but significantly less than acceptable in IE (7 and 8). It's a known bug with IE, and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much of a workaround.
Basically what I'm doing is place a semi-transparent white rectangle over an imag...

How can I fade out all div's besides those with any of these three id's?
#dontFadeOne

I'm thinking something like this:
$("div").notAnyOf("dontFadeOne","dontFadeTwo","dontFadeThree").fadeOut();
But I can't find a 'not any of' function.

While creating self contained elements with Jquery html() the following issue happens:
$('#someId').html('<li><input type="checkbox" /></li>')
will create
<li><input type="checkbox"></li>
It closes correctly the <li> tag but not the <input>
It seems its an issue from innerHtml which is used in the html() function.

Hi! Newbie question: I'm wondering how to refresh/reload a page (or even specific div) once(!) using jQuery? Ideally in a way right after the "DOM structure" is available (cf. "onload" event) and not negatively affecting "back button" or "bookmark" functionalities. Please note: ''replace('' is not allowed due to third-party restrictions....
