I'm working on a .NET WinForms app that needs to print a FEDEX shipping label. As part of the FedEx api, I can get raw label data for the printer.
I just don't know how to send that data to the printer through .NET (I'm using C#). To be clear, the data is already pre formatted into ZPL (Zebra printer language) I just need to send it...

The output we get when printing C++ sources from Eclipse is rather ugly.

I have a form in HTML where our users fill in the data and then print it. The data isn't saved anywhere. These forms come from outside our company and are built as html pages to resemble the original as closely as possible and then stuffed away and forgotten in a folder on the intranet. Normally another developer does them, but I have...
When printing in Windows forms, or doing a print preview, a dialog is displayed with text like
Page [P] of [DOC]
where [P] is page number and [DOC] is the name of the document. The dialog also contains a button to allow the user to cancel the print job.
How can I change the text displayed? What I would prefer is text like

I am working on an application that will sport a web-based point of sale interface.
The point of sale PC (I am not sure as of now whether it will run on Linux or Windows) must have a fiscal printer attached to it, but like any web app, it is the server which processes all stuff. Both server and PoS machines are on the same LAN.

I'm trying to use CSS (under @media print) and JavaScript to print a one-page document with a given piece of text made as large as possible while still fitting inside a given width. The length of the text is not known beforehand, so simply using a fixed-width font is not an option.
To put it another way, I'm looking for proper resizing...
I want to resize the font of a SPAN element's style until it the SPAN's text is 7.5 inches wide when printed out on paper, but JavaScript only reports the SPAN's clientWidth property in pixels.
<span id="test">123456</span>
And then:
#test
{
font-size:1.2in; /* adjust this for yourself until printout measures 7.5in wide */

I am working on an ASP.Net web application that must print dynamically created labels on standard Avery-style label sheets (one particular size, so only one overall layout). The labels have a variable number of lines (3-6) and may contain either lines of text or a graphic barcode image.

We need to be able to change the default selected print tray of a given printer. Does anyone have VC++/win32 code for doing this?
In case it matters, I believe we have to change the default setting for the printer. Our print jobs are executed by an application other than ours, so we can't make these kinds of changes in the context of ...

What is the best way to persist/save printer settings in .Net?
There used to be a bug in .Net 1.1 in the serialization of the PrinterSetting object and there were some workarounds but I'm wondering if there isn't a better or easier way of doing this in the more recent versions of the framework.
The main use case is to allow a user to de...
I've created a web page that lets you input some information and then draws an image in a canvas element based on that info. I have it pretty much working the way I want except for the printing.
Is there a way to print out the canvas element or is creating a new window to draw in, the only way to do it?
Update:
The answer was so simp...
I need to add functionality to my J2EE-based wep application:
1) Take some page, probably with form controls, convert it to some printer friendly format.
2) Print this rendered format a) without showing it and b) without a print dialog.
I'm not too worried about 1, but have no idea if 2a and 2b are even possible.
Thanks for any help.

I've written a DLL that monitors our netowork printer. The printer is connected to the server via USB cable. When I print something directly from the server, it displays information about pages sent/printed properly, but when I print something from one of the client computers it only displays its IP, sent/printed is always 0.

I have an upcoming project which will have to be able to print simple reports from its data. It'll be WPF-based, and I'm wondering which way to go.
I know that WPF introduces its own printing technology (based on XPS) which looks quite easy to use. However, part of me wonders whether it would just be easier to use the ReportViewer contr...
