def self.up
create_table :products do |t|
t.column :name, :string
t.timestamps
end

I keep getting 401 when trying to login via Oauth with Twitter.
I'm using twitter_oauth-0.3.3 with oauth-0.3.6 in rails
It used to work perfectly some time ago, so after some digging, I realised it might have something to do with my timezone.
In the headers of the Twitter response, one of them is:

I'm having an odd probably with rails right now... a class is being defined somewhere, and I can't find it. Grepping for "class ClassName" hasn't managed to locate it, but it's definitely there when I load up the rails console. It's just a vanilla class inheriting from Object with nothing else defined... quite boring. So, what I'd like i...
Users can view a specific entry in my webapp with a URL. /entry/8, for example. If an entry doesn't exist, "Entry not found" gets appended to @messages and I render an error page.
I'd like to show some arbitrary query instead of a blank page, but I can't figure out a good way to keep the error message around to be displayed. There are o...

The gem contains binaries and so my local gem downloads the win32 binaries. Is there any way I can get gem to download the linux binaries, so I can vendorize and upload them?

I have a silverlight application that needs to talk to a rails app to add a record. I have been able to get the silverlight app to successfully do the POST assuming everything goes good. I have two models, product and order.
Product
- cost
- id
Order
- cost
- product_id
Each time someone places an order, it captures the product_id through a radio button value in the "new order" form.
In the controller when creating the new order it needs to set order.cost to order.product.cost. Logically I thought the code shoul...

I want to use a Rake task to cache my sitemap so that requests for sitemap.xml won't take forever. Here's what I have so far:

I am working on a Dreamhost server with Rails 2.3.5.
Every time I make changes to a site, I have to ssh into the site, remove all the files, upload a zip file containing all the new files for the site, unzip that file, migrate the database, and go.
Something tells me there's a faster way to deploy rails apps. I am using mac Time Machin...
