I'm having trouble while creating an In App Purchase in iTunes Connect. I have created a test user and am able to see the form for creating the in app purchase. However, when pressing 'Save' I get the following error message:

"There was an error saving changes. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact us."

This error has persisted for about 24 hours now. Have you encountered this problem, and do you know any way to get around it?

Edit 2009-11-10: I just received a response from my email to Apple. It stated that they will start looking into it, and expect to have a solution within three business days. As soon as I hear something new, I'll post it here.

Yes, I was just trying to create a new in app purchase and got the same error as well. I guess there's a problem at Apple since I was able to add in app purchases three days ago.

I have had the same problem for about 24 hrs as well, and an even weirder error when I try to create an in-app user. The error is "* 21, 22" the first time, and then upon hitting save again it says the email is already an account.... it must be a glitch in the site, hopefully its temporary.

Hi! I have the same problem for more than 3 days until now. Do you know any solution?

This issue seems to be resolved now - I was just able to create the In App Purchase. This would confirm that there was an error on Apple's server's.

I haven't gotten anymore information from the support, but since it's working I won't complain all too loudly :)

just curious, how did you contact apple about your problem(s)? i am experiencing an in-app-purchase problem that is almost certainly caused on apple's end, and i'd like to bring it to their attention somehow.

the issue is that i get a timeout error (-1001) when trying to make an in app purchase. this began happening suddenly after in-app-purchase had been working fine for a while.

i created a test project with nothing but the storefront supplied by a reliable third party (urban airship) which i'd been using successfully with some alterations in my app. using this project with my app id, i got the same app purchase timeout error, which strongly suggests some kind of issue on apple's end (it seems that either my device or my app id have gotten blackballed somehow, at least with the sandbox servers). so now the question is what to do about it. hence my curiosity regarding contacting apple. any help would be appreciated.

I sent an email to [email protected] describing the error and attached a screenshot of the form that generated the error. It took a few days before they replied, but after about one week the problem was solved.

This is happening to me also - for the last 2 days. I wonder if there is a site to keep track of things like this. Seems this is happening to others too - so again a Apple issue ...

Weird though that I don't see many posts or Apple notifications of the problem and possible fix time.
