Hello,
I am interested in building a Timer Based game such as mafia wars or soemthing like that. I'm stuck on one question.

Here is the method declaration midway in Apple's documentation:
Learning Objective-C: A Primer
- (void)insertObject:(id)anObject atIndex:(NSUInteger)index
Why is there no "*" right after NSUInteger. I thought all objects were pointer types and all strongly typed pointers had to have a * after it.

I've done this to get the view:
[self.superview viewWithTag:10]
But how can I get that view's viewcontroller. Just like you can get the the viewcontroller's view I want to go the other way so I can send a message (call a method) to that viewcontroller. eg:
[[self.superview viewWithTag:10].viewController doSomething];

If I am loading a view from another NIB, how do I set the File's Owner view property? IB is not letting me hook it up to my View Controller which is loading the external NIB.
My NIB looks like this:

First Responder
LBTableViewController - Identity is set to LBTableViewController,...
I'm writing a Cocoa application and I'd like to generate a Numbers spreadsheet from my application using Scripting Bridge. I have an array of images that I'm displaying in a UITableView. When choosing images from the library using the UIImagePicker, everything is totally fine and I can add a lot of images to the array. I'm new to the iOS platform. I'm not clear on the purpose of the interface builder. It looks like I can avoid using it entirely and just write all the code in objective c. am I right? is there anything that IB can do but obj-c cannot?
It reminds me of visual basic 6.

can someone clarify this for me:
When there’s more than one argument, the arguments are declared within the method name after the colons.
Arguments break the name apart in the declaration, just as in a message. For example:
- (void)setWidth:(float)width height:(float)height;
So in the above:
method is for instance variables

Hi gang,
I thought I had this sorted, but I am still missing something.

Hi all,
I have RGB values that I need to convert into CMYK values. I'm using the iPhone SDK to try and do this.
I have tried a couple of things, but cannot either get the values to be anything other than 0 or 1, or the K element is completely wrong (showing up as a negative number).
Any help would be a life saver!
Thanks in advance!

I am trying to draw a UIColor on the screen of a view-based app, and I am trying to do so using HSB. It is absolutely necessary for me to use HSB in this case. I can create a UIColor object with any S value from 0.0f to 0.75f, but past that the numerical changes have no effect on the actual saturation displayed. I need it to be 1.0f, but...
