64-bit Linux Proprietary Software Copy/IP Protection

I'm looking for a copy/IP protection system for 64-bit Linux platforms. I'm particularly interested in hardware dongles.

I am aware of HASP which makes 32-bit Linux compatible dongles, but I need 32-bit and 64-bit support.

Anyone have hands on experience with such a system? A good answer will detail which system and how it worked out.

FlexLM is pretty much the de-facto software licence manager for commercial software, particularly on Linux/Unix. My company has used it in the past, and if that's what you want it does the job quite well. However, it isn't a hardware solution.

Flexlm is also really insecure. I'd really like a hardware solution.

It depends on what you are trying to do. Any protection system can be broken, it just comes down to how hard people will try. We used FlexLM to "keep the honest people honest" - if you've bought 20 licences for your organisation then flex (and similar products) ensure they don't inadvertently run more copies than they have paid for. If someone really wants to break your licence agreement and copy your software, they will.
