I'm working on a software product (time tracking tool) which will be available in 2 flavors: a free version and a commercial version. I was thinking of naming them as "Free version" and "Professional version". At some point I will also have a 3rd version called "Enterprise" - for companies rather then individuals.
Can you suggest any better alternatives? Perhaps "Basic", "Premium" and "Ultimate"?

I'm no marketing expert (quite an understatement;-), but I like "Personal Edition", "Professional Edition", and "Enterprise Edition" for the three versions.

Stick with Free. Everybody understands Free; and everybody needs to read the licensing page to see what Express, Standard or Personal means.

Ya... it sometime depend on the number of features you have for each release. From what you said so far, there's a free version, full version and enterprise release. So I think "FREE", "PROFESSIONAL", "ENTERPRISE" is the best.
If there's more than 3 version, then a lite or express, team or project edition works best!
I think calling a time tracking tool version "professional" is silly. It makes the product sound complicated. Also, you don't need to be a "professional" to track time. I would stick to something like (for example):
