Get information about afp mountpoint in script

Question

I have a couple of macs where the mnthome command does not return the servername/IP in the "Host DNS name:" line.

Two questions:

1. Is there any other scriptable way to get the servername/IP of an AFP mount point.
2. Who has an idea why that is?
