Can anyone recommend a "Getting Started" document for Firebug?

This looks good

+1 - I ultimately followed this to Estelle's intro - I really needed an intro to using the firebug, and at first, most of what I was seeing was firebug developer stuff (like how firebug works on the inside).

It's a bit old, but the time I watched the Joe Hewitt: "Welcome to Firebug 1.0" video on YUI Theatre, I kinda liked it, and learned nice stuff -- which is still true today, for the most part, even if is obviously doesn't cover improvents that arrived in Firebug after v 1.0

Of course, you also have the documentation of firebug ;-)
Which, itself, has some links to other sources -- like the video I linked to just before.

There are also some other useful tutorials on the web, like, for instance : Introduction to Firebug: Net Panel (covers firebug 1.4)

+1 for the Net Panel doc - seems like that will be really useful.

I discovered it a couple of days ago while answering another question, and likes it ^^ so I remembered it ^^

Ok, I have read this now, and it was just right - in fact, I was able to turn on firebug for this document, so that as I read it, I could try out the various windows and features. This link has to get my answer vote, because it points right at the most basic, simple, "startable" place to start.

Another thought: it would be awesome if someone who is knowledgeable about the latest features of Firebug (1.5?) could update that document.

James, you're right it's more than two years old.
