Tumblr allows you to import up to 5 feeds. I would like to use this functionality to import my liked videos on Vimeo onto Tumblr. Right now if I take a sample likes feed from Vimeo, what I end up right now is a bunch of posts with static images.

What I would like is to be able to have the Vimeo player embedded in the Tumblr post so that playback can start right from that page. I've done some experimenting with modifying the feed with Yahoo Pipes but have not gotten far. Not having played much with video embedding, (oembed?), I'm wondering if anyone else has tried this.
What I've found on SO is this http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2189327/embed-vimeo-player-in-rails but Tumblr's feed import process is pretty opaque so it's been challenging to say the least.
