Google webfonts look horrible on windows.

What is going on? Is this a temporary problem that will be fixed, or is this just a windows problem that will forever persist? If the latter, doesn't that mean the entire project is sort of useless?

Thanks in advance.

Anyone know if this is fixable? I really want to use custom fonts. :)

A:

It's a Windows problem. Other embedded fonts are also poorly rendered on Windows. Try running my site - http://azabani.com/ - in Firefox on Windows. The DejaVu Sans font embeds and renders wonderful on Linux and Mac, but renders quite pale and odd in Windows.

Basically, don't use @font-face unless you want your windows users to hate you?

I guess. However, I don't care about Windows so I use it anyway.
