Docbook: describing user interface required fields

I try to figure out how to describe in docbook "required fields" of UI.

Does anybody know "best practice" for "required fields" in docbook?

A clear answer I do not have, but I would say, have at least a look into the procedure, through which you can describe things, step by step (including sub-steps etc).
