I just switched from GoDaddy to WinHost and I'm very happy with their service. They support ASP.NET 4, MVC 2, SQL Server 2008, IIS 7 and more. And its inexpensive too!

I switched from Discountasp.net to WinHost.com. I am also very happy with thier service and support. They just released support for .NET 4.0, Silverlight 4, etc... 5 bucks a month for hosting and database isn't bad.

Note: I use them to host my personal site so monthly bandwidth is not an issue.

I agree. I use WinHost.com for my personal and my business site and it has been great! It's very affordable and their support is second to none. Plus they are on top of keeping current with the latest Framework and technologies.

If you're build web-applications you should consider windows azure by microsoft. It's a bit more expensive than what you probably used to, but they offer several unique services.

It looks great,so I tried it in January this year. However, even deploying a sample website was a real nightmare. The server instance kept hanging during the deployment process and there was no error message. So I decided to wait some time before having another look. Has it become more usable by now?

It's a bit better, it still takes a lot of time to deploy a project but it works if you just let it do it's job. And they've ended the beta testing around February, so it's suppose to be better.

We are using a Webhost called Hetzner. They have quad-core dedicated servers with software RAID and 8 GB of ram for just 49EUR / month. You can use your own Windows server license or take theirs as an option for 15EUR extra. So far their service and the server performance has been outstanding.

Whatever you choose, think twice before choosing DiscounatASP.com. I've tried them first and their server's performance has been very inconsistent. Far below the standard you would need for any commercial application. I tried to speak to them, but they just blamed my application. Since I moved to my current webhost I know that it wasn't my application's fault.

Let me share you my experience too.

So far I have been with 2 of hosting companies and I would like to share what my real experience with them.

Web Host 4 Life For Support I would give them 1 out of 5 They were good with their support in past, but with new platform, they seems to be very bad with support, even critical issue like website down is taken very lightly, It takes about 2-3 days to solve such a critical issue, and their chat support is only good for solving small issues

For Price I would give them 3 out of 5 There are many cheap web hosting provider with same service they are providing.

Arvixe For Support I would give them 0 out of 5 They attract us by low hosting price but their support is worst, rude and sometime no support at all. If you believe me, you would find them very unprofessional in dealing with your site issues. Later i figure out they are newbie in hosting, so nothing better to expect from them...

Price wise they are good, but again without proper support nothing goes good forever.

That is really a bummer that http://arvixe.com didn't work out for you, but I don't agree with your rating. I've been with Arvixe for two years and know first hand that customer support makes a huge effort to solve everyone's problems. I would suggest doing the research yourself: http://www.webhostingsearch.com/review/arvixe.php, http://www.webhostingjury.com/reviews/Arvixe, http://www.web-hosting-top.com/web-hosting/web-hosting-top.arvixe.com-reviews

Don't go by rating on website, sometimes hosting company are paying very good amount of money to rating website. Anyways i am not here to say who is right or wrong. I just share my real experience. If you don't feel same you can always try and later repent. You end up in wasting huge amount of time/money and down time of your website. Good Luck

Using DiscountASP I have been able to easily deploy MVC applications. They are a cheap and reliable hosting source.

I think OrcsWeb has a great reputation for being on the bleeding edge of tech with spectacular tech support. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. If you are doing something for production / professional work I think you should consider paying the higher cost.

If this is something you are doing to host a few things like a blog, etc... you may not want to pay that much and go with someone reliable with good tech help and reasonable prices like DiscountASP.Net. They aren't the cheapest but are reasonable and again you get what you pay for.
