I am looking for some high quality online video training for developing with Apple Technologies that can be subscribed to at a reasonable cost. The technologies I am looking for them to provide training on is developing applications for Mac OS X, iPhone and iPad using Xcode, IB, and Objective-C. They must be top notch technologist and provide high quality video based training.

Basically I would love to find a counter part for PluralSight that focused on Apple training like PluralSight does for Microsoft Technologies.

Update: I am aware of some very good books, and I am aware of the iTunes U Stanford and Madison videos. They are okay but they are university classes with a lot of off line details that are not presented. They are great instructors but commercial training videos are usually better as they are focused on teach the video everything, and is not a recording of a university class which are just lectures in the end.

Please I am looking for something that is as good as PluralSight but is focused on Apple instead of Microsoft. If there is none then fine, however I hope that there is.

There have been many good suggestions, and I gave the check to the first one I felt best answered the goal of the question. I wish I could give all of them a check for each of the suggestions Therefore I wanted to give credit to everyone who provided great resources here. I want to thank each and everyone of you for you suggestions I loved them all.

It's not video, but the best training I know of is the wonderful book by Marks and LaMarche. http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-iPhone-Development-Exploring-SDK/dp/1430216263

@William Thanks for the suggestion, I am aware of that book however I am looking for high quality online video training.

I'll second the LaMarche and Hillegass books.

There are also several iPhone-related classes in iTunes U. The Stanford course is especially good. It is focused on iPhone development, but most of the principles extend Macs and iPads.

Registered iPhone developers have access to some materials, too.

Ryan
@Ryan Thanks for the suggestion about iTunes U I have been watching both the Stanford and Madison "lectures" for the last several weeks, however they are only the lectures from the courses much of the meat is missing. I am looking for high quality online video which I fully expect to be a subscription based for a fee.

You could certainly take a look at the Pragmatic Screencasts. There are several on Objective-C, XCode, and iPhone development. I am unsure whether it is going to cover all of the depth you are looking for, but these could get you started.

If you are a registered Apple developer, they released all of their WWDC technical presentations for 2010. These videos are a goldmine of information on the latest iOS4 libraries and a number of development best practices. Because the technology stack has consistently evolved over the past couple of years, you will certainly want to be up to speed on these presentations. To download them (for free), login through the developer portal, then launch iTunes and use your developer account to download videos in SD or HD.

rynmrtn
@Rynmrtn I own all the Pragmatic Screen casts related to the iPhone and while they are okay, they are now outdated and don't match up with the tool. I am a registered iPhone and Mac Developer with Apple and I have looked as their presentations and they a nice but not really what I am looking for as the ones I have seen are lecture oriented. I am really look for an Apple counter part to PluralSight which does amazing Microsoft video training. I thought it would be easy to find, but I couldn't. I do appreciate your suggestions and they are good ones.

I recommend PeepCode. They only have a few screen casts on the subject in question, but the quality is absolutely outstanding.

Kevin Sylvestre
@Kevin They may have potential depending on how up to date they are. They seem very much along the same line as the Pragmatic screen casts which are good as well. For only $9 each they are worth a look, thank you.

I don't know anything about PluralSight, but it sounds to me like you have a particular standard in mind that apparently no one can meet as if it were readily available, a google search would have already turned it up.

To get the caliber you're talking about, you need to attend Big Nerd Ranch. It's worth every penny and it will help you just cut to the chase. Those guys don't mess around and you will learn very quickly. The price may not meet your requirement of "reasonable cost", but considering how much demand there is for iOS developers right now, it's a bargain. It would pay for itself in your first development contract.

If that doesn't suit you, you'll just have to learn it like everyone else--read books and blog posts and watch the screencasts already available. There are tons of them--many free on youtube, google, and vimeo. Some may be out of date, but not so much so that you can't figure out what's going on and how to adapt them to the latest tools.

Good luck.

@Matt BTW I do use books like everyone else, and I already know Objective-C and basic iPhone and Mac OS X development. I prefer to supplement my reading of books with detailed video training, and find combining both of them works best for me and my hectic schedule.

Check out the Advanced iPhone Development Course delivered by Brad Larson, with over 35 hours of HD content available for free, this course is a nice collection of lectures that deal with advanced topics in iPhone development. Brad has dedicated one whole lecture on iPad development. Brad developed the widely acclaimed Molecules iPhone/iPad application, the source code is available for download.

indyfromoz
@Indyfromoz Yeah those are the Madison iTunes U lectures I mentioned.

Waleed
@Waleed the MyCodeTeacher.com sight seems very promising they appear to be an Non-Microsoft counter part to the PluralSight type of companies. They have many iPhone courses some are out of date, but many are not. The Lynda link is just an iPhone App for watching their videos. They seem to have to iPhone training sessions one for how to use the phone and one for the 3.x SDK. So there may be some promise there as well.

Scotty at the Mac Developer Network has provided a tremendous amount of quality content over the years, from his Late Night Cocoa podcasts, to the new MDN Show.

Videos from MDN's recent NSConference are available for purchase, along with a series of excellent training courses taught by experienced developers. It sounds like the MDN will be rolling out more training courses on Mac and iPhone development going forward over the next few months.

Brad Larson
@Brad Those look very good as they should as they are the most expensive of all the recommendations. :) BTW, I have been enjoying your Madison iTunes U lectures/class recordings. Thanks!

The Apple Developer Connection has all the WWDC session videos. I find them very helpful.
