We are a high-growth, outcomes-oriented organization, with a $119 million budget and close to 1,200 staff. We operate in an entrepreneurial environment, maintain focus on quantitative measures, and are committed to continuous improvement.
Team Overview
As part of the launch of its new corps member and alumni website, TFANet, Teach For America established a new team - the Interactive Learning and Engagement (ILE) team - to promote the self-directed learning of its teachers. ILE's mission is to enable and inspire corps members, alumni and staff to use Teach For America's best knowledge to date -- and build upon it -- in order to create a vibrant hub of ongoing professional development. Given the nature of multimedia and online learning, the team addresses this mission by amassing and developing concrete resources, cultivating community through discussion boards, forums and social networking, curating a space for knowledge development through wikis, showcasing the stories of classrooms across the country, and creating online workshops and courses.
One of the pillars of this new team is the Multimedia and Online Learning team which, in addition to its work in service of the aforementioned ILE goals, will continue to support other instructional design teams at Teach For America in their pursuit of innovative and increasingly efficient content delivery through the use of multimedia.
