I was wondering if there is a more up to date alternative to libFoundation (which hasn't been updated since 2001) to develop modern cross-platform Obj-C applications.
I don't need appKit features, only Foundation is needed.
I know about GNUStep, but I've only heard bad things about it. The Cocotron seems nice, but doesn't seem like it has proper Linux support at the moment, which is a must.
Have any of you used the above? How did you like it? Do you know any other implementations?
@Jordi: Have you used it? How complete and compatible is it compared to Apple's libraries? It certainly seems nice enough, but seems to me like continued Linux support is less than certain, as its main target is OS X.
None the less, it's very up to date and maintained, so it looks promissing.
@wvdschel: No, I can't say I have. I just had a fleeting interest in Nu a few weeks back, and I remembered NuFound when I saw your question.
Turns out, it's a more updated version of libFoundation itself, so it's certainly an improvement. I've accepted your answer.
