suppose that your company will start to use a new software process, are there methods to test or estimate how successful this process will be according to certain properties or rules ?

A:

No that I know of.

For the success/failure of using a method, the weight of the skills and attitude of the actual people carrying out the method is much bigger than the weight of what method you choose to employ. That is why there are order-of-magnitude differences between individuals in software development, and this is why "testing" a software method outside of its real context is practically impossible.

In other words: the only way to "test" the method is to actually enact it, using the very people who will employ it, for the same kind of projects, and under the same conditions.
