Sorry if this is an annoying question, but I just want to know if it is possible to have an iPad view that is functioning, then load a smaller view on top of that with different content. And then be able to use both at the same time.

I have been trying to look this up, but I don't know what terminology to use. Thanks to anyone who can answer this. If it is possible then it would be greatly appreciated if you could send me in the right direction.

I'm not sure why you got zero answers to this, but yes it is extremely simple and commonplace, it happens in basically every iPad app!!

Yes, you can still click on or whatever the rear app, stuff can be animating there or whatever.

It sounds like you need to explore basic ideas about how the interface builder works - simply add another UIView on top of another one, nest them and so on. Hope it helps!
