Does anybody has some comments of performance of Filehelpers ?

EDIT: Maybe some experience from day life usage ?

@omaxx: what was toal size of your file?

A:

It appears that this is something the developers are actively looking into.

Consider the post about performance is from start of 2007, I question the actively part.

Are there any rivals to filehelper? I found it quite restrictive to use.

I've used filehelpers to manipulate files of around 10,000 records (mainly transforming from CSV to Fixed Length format) and I've found that it performs reasonably well (around 10-12 seconds per transform. I'm also currently contributing some code to filehelpers so if you let me know what specifically you want improved I might be able to help?
