Many of us probably follow the developer blogs of well-known names - Joel Spolsky, Jeff Atwood, etc.

Many of us probably also follow the technical blogs of people we've come to know through our careers or our interactions. These could be blogs of exceedingly high quality that are just not as well known.

What developer blogs do you rely on, written by low-visibility experts, that the rest of us might not be aware of?

Most of the blogs by "non-famous people" that I am subsribed to are only updated sporadically. I guess that's one of the reason's Jeff's blog is so popular, he has maintained a very regular posting schedule over a number of years.

I get a lot of my articles from DZone. If an article is good, it will generally rise to the top, regardless of who wrote it.

Following on from Jeffrey's answer, how about going through the users page of StackOverflow and picking out the blogs of the top users here? They've all already proved their technical communication skills, at least to some extent.

These are not all top 10 users but they are the 10 highest ranked users with a link to an active programming-related blog on their profiles.

If you program for windows - you need to add this blog right away - and go through the back posts - your customers (and I) will thank you.

My favourite lately has definitely been Steve Yegge (http://steve.yegge.googlepages.com/blog-rants and http://steve-yegge.blogspot.com/). Paul Graham (http://www.paulgraham.com/articles.html) has a good series of articles as well.

Hey, did you just go to a blog listing, and start copying items from the end of the list? :) (just kidding)
David
Heh! No, I really like both and I have a habit of getting them confused with each other...
