I am developing a website for a friend and require a certain font. He already has business cards printed using Avant Garde Bold so I need to get hold of it to use for the headings. Does anyone know where I can get this and other fonts for free?

dafont.com - Probably the best place to find free fonts.
you can type in the word you want and see this as preview, very Nice!

There are a lot of places to get free fonts, but good free fonts are hard to find. I like to use whatever smashing magazine is pointing out. They have regular articles on top-notch free fonts that are available.
