what are your favorite screencast/webcast directories for all things software engineering?

I know of

  1. http://peepcode.com/ (not free)
  2. http://videolectures.net/site/list/top/
  3. http://www.showmedo.com/
  4. http://www.bestechvideos.com/

SO has a few questions on webcasts, but they are for specific topics - Django, Rails, etc.

Among other things I am interested in somewhat advanced Linux/Unix material, so I look for LUG sites - sometimes they post videos from their monthly meetings, but I have not found any centralized directory of those videos. is there one?

thanks!

Here are some of my sources:

  • Google Video / YouTube has a lot of Google Tech Talks posted online, as well as some conference data.

  • InfoQ has many recorded conference presentations on a variety of topics

  • You can use iTunes University or go to Universitie's web sites for some advances courses they recorded.

I like Dime Casts.Net. They offer interesting and short (10 minutes) webcasts about various topics.

For Ubuntu (which I guess somewhat applies to Debian), Alan Pope and co. run the screencasting part of Ubuntu.com: http://screencasts.ubuntu.com/
