I'm soon to launch a site, and would like to hear your opinions and experiences with Analytics Tools. There are many analytics solutions available, and they all vary in price, accuracy and flexibility.

In your opinion, what's the best analytics solution, and why?

Google Analytics.

In all seriousness, check the features out. It is quite awesome.

I agree w/Paolo, Google Analytics is great. However, one thing that should be noted is that they've recently made it easier for website visitors to remove themselves from Google Analytics tracking. So, a "belts and suspenders" approach might make sense, where you run GA on your site, and back it up with an affordable option that doesn't break the bank.

As long as your metrics stay within an acceptable range of each other (GA to commercial product) you can use GA to spot and measure trends, if not the actual metrics.
