Automatic certificate enrollment for [userid] failed to enroll for one
Basic EFS certificate (0x800706ba). The RPC server is unavailable.
I have been getting these errors for a few weeks, about a dozen every day. I checked the certificates with MMC and they are going to expire in 2 weeks. I cannot find an answer to these questions:
I think the errors stems from Certificate Services not being installed on this dev box that is also a PDC. How did these certs get created in the first place, and do I have to make my development box a CA now? I really don't want to.
What will happen if I don't address this before the certs expire?
