E-mail Server Software / Hardware Recommendations

Question

I run several mid-size networking websites, sending around 10 million e-mails per month. We are having issues with deliverability and speed with our current e-mail software and need to upgrade.

Does anyone have any suggestions for software and/or hardware MTA solution to do marketing and transactional e-mail sending from a website at high volumes? Our budget is under $20k and preferably under $10k. We have a Microsoft environment, but would be open to anything that works well, software or hardware solutions...

i've been very well served by CommuniGate. it's almost the only non-open source program I recommend without a doubt. easy to administer, great performance, scalable, the whole enchilada
