I've just concerned about this subject when I talked with my customer. They always call me as a "coder". What do you think is the difference between coder and programmer?

I would say, a coder is just concerned with the code, as opposed to a "developer" or programmer who deals with requirements too...

A programmer writes code. A coder is one that writes programs. Does this clear it up? The difference is in your customer's head. IMHO, he's making up stuff.
