Must Have Tools for GIT in Windows

Hi there,

I was wondering, which tools are must have at the moment for a project driven by git vc in a windows OS. I am talking about GUIs, console apps, plugins for visual studio etc, etc, etc.

Git Extensions provides Windows Explorer integration and a Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 plugin. Here is the manual for screenshots.

I would add a good file manager and a good merge tool to the list. I know, this is not exactly git specific, but life gets easier with these tools.

There, I would recommend:

• Total Commander
• Beyond Compare or Araxis Merge. If you have no budget, go for WinMerge
