Is it poor etiquette to answer your own question?

So I spent a bit of time trying to solve a problem with JBoss and JSP, and for the life of me, I couldn't find a single solution that worked. I ended up playing around a bit, and figured out what I was doing wrong all on my own (thanks to some gut-instinct response to a config file).

Anyway, so what's the best way to use SO to post the question and then provide the answer? Is it that simple? Post a question, post my ansewr, and let everyone else have their shot at chiming in?

I'm not looking to score points, just furthering the depth of knowledge, so making it community wiki is a better idea?

If you pose it as a question, then it is OK according to the FAQ. Posting your own answer is accepted and encouraged.
