I am currently writing iPhone Apps using the SDK 3.0 beta 5, which unfortunately comes with an Non Disclosure Agreement. This agreement doesn't allow developers to talk about internals of the SDK freely, they can only use the Apple forums.

Does anyone know when the iPhone NDA will be over?

That date will be remarkable: developers will be able to talk freely and write tutorials and books about the new features and APIs.

Given that Apple has dropped the overall SDK NDA, I expect this NDA you're under will be lifted after Iphone OS 3.0 is public.

Strictly speaking, this is not true. They altered the NDA to only refer to unreleased software. You were not allowed to talk about beta releases of 2.x until they were released, either.

Actually, the NDA will likely never expire. However... the NDA only pertains to unreleased Apple software. They day it's released, you are free to talk about it as much as you want.

Apple will probably tell when exactly they are releasing iPhone 3.0 at WWDC '09.
