MS doc SVN

I;m student in CS and for this summer(with 3 of my colleagues) we have to do a SVN for MS .doc files. Do you have any idea if this kind of thing has already made before. Is an open source project already available for that?

If you were in our situation, how did you start your research?

btw: we have to use PHP for this project.

If by SVN you mean Subversion, you really should look it up before asking such a thing. Subversion is a version control system which doesn't really care what files you are tracking.

If you need to keep various changes in MS Word file, you can just use "Track changes" option instead of reimplementing something on top of SVN.
