Hi,
I have a grouped UITableView, with cells in section 2 depending on cells in section 1. More precisely, each cell in section 1 is associated with multiple cells of section two and deleting a row in section 1 needs to delete the associated rows in section 2.
I have my dataSources all set up and everything works fine if all cells are ...
I have a strange issue, when it comes to parsing XML with NSXMLParser on the iPhone. When starting the app, I want to preload 4 table-views, that are populated by RSS-Feeds in the background.
When I init the table-views one-by-one, than loading, parsing and displaying all works like a charm. But when I try to init all view at once (at t...
I'm trying to take a CGImage and copy its data into a buffer for later processing. The code below is what I have so far, but there's one thing I don't like about it - it's copying the image data twice. Once for CGDataProviderCopyData() and once for the :getBytes:length call on imgData. I haven't been able to find a way to copy the ima...
Hi Guys,
I don't know what I am missing here. I am trying to concatenate strings using NSString stringWithFormat function. This is what I am doing.
NSString *category = [row objectForKey:@"category"];
NSString *logonUser = [row objectForKey:@"username"];

I have a fullscreen view (768x1004), when I add a fullscreen subview to this view, it is incorrectly positioned by the height of the status bar (20 pixels). So the view will be clipped by 20 pixels at the top. I can't figure out why this is happening. The only way I can fix it is to set the origin to CGPointMake(0, 20) in viewDidLoad.
I...
Is there a way to pop the current view from the Navigation Controller? Ideally in viewDidLoad, I would like to perform some sanity checking and if it fails, popup an error dialog and automatically close the current view (remove from parent N.avigation Controller)

I have some a UIView with several user created subviews. The user can move and rotate the subviews. I'm using the transform attribute of UIView to accomplish this. I want to save the "document" in order to recreate it later.

I use NSKeyedUnarchiver's unarchiveObjectWithFile: to load a custom object that contains a single large NSData and another much smaller object. The dealloc method in my custom object gets called, the NSData object is released, its retainCount == 1 just before. Physical memory does not decrement by any amount, let alone a ...

Has anyone noticed this behavior? I'm trying to write a script that will trigger upon a resize. It works fine on normal browsers, works fine on iPhone, but on iPad, will only trigger going from horizontal to vertical viewport, not vice versa.
Here's the code:

I'm looking for a way to use NSPredicate to set a LIKE condition to fetch objects. In addition to that, an OR would be useful as well. I'm trying to do something where if a user searches "James" I can write an NSPredicate that will do the equivalent of:
select * from users where firstname LIKE '%James%' OR lastname LIKE '%James%';

I've got a couple of Core Data-generated class files that I'd like to add custom methods to. I don't need to add any instance variables. How can I do this?
I tried adding a category of methods:
