I am using CDATA to escape the script but in IE8's debugger I still get this message: "Expected ')'" in the for loop conditions. I am assuming it still thinks that the ; in the < generated by CDATA is ending the loop conditions.

I'm creating a Javascript JQuery Timepicker control plugin (which I hope to open source soon) and I would like some advice on how to best register the events in the cleanest way.

Hi all
I wanted to ask if there is a formal way of describing the following code, whereby we can access the same object repeatedly without re-typing the object's identifier:
myObj.render(1).render(2).print();
I didn't know how to describe it when trying to form a question; I wanted to know whether or not something like this is possib...

I've got a website that provides labels when the user hovers over an image. You can see the example at: http://www.185vfx.com/
For touchscreens, I'd like to have those hints on by default (since hover isn't usually available). I'd prefer not to browser-sniff and try to maintain that list as new devices/versions arrive.
Any reliable way...

tl;dr: How does one implement MVC in JavaScript in a clean way?
I'm trying to implement MVC in JavaScript. I have googled and reorganized with my code countless times but have not found a suitable solution. (The code just doesn't "feel right".)
Here's how I'm going about it right now. It's incredibly complicated and is a pain to work w...
Hi,
given to certain circumstances, I'm forced to keep page settings (Javascript-values) in the session and it has to be done right before leaving the page (I can't use cookies, since "pageSettings" can become quite large and localStorage is not an option yet ;) ). So this is how I tried it. However it seems that when I call the page di...
Chrome is wrongly reporting width and height values for images during, or just after, load time. Jquery is used in this code example:
<img id='image01' alt='picture that is 145x134' src='/images/picture.jpg' />
<script>
var img = $( 'img#image01' )
img.width() // would return 145 in Firefox and 0 in Chrome.
img.height() // would re...
Hello all, I really don't have any substantial code to show here, actually, that's kinda why I am writing: I looked at the SproutCore demo, especially the Collection demo, on http://demo.sproutcore.com/sample_controls/, and am amazed by its loading 200,000 records to the page so easily. I tried using Rails to provide 200,000 records and ...

Hi I've got a set of <li> with a hover effect, what I want is when the page loads ALL the <li> elements fade-in randomly.
I don't want to shuffle them...they should keep their ordering intact meaning 1,2,3,4,5. I just want to make them appear on the page randomly and stay there.

I have defined a class named MyClass and I have defined two methods myMethod1 and myMethod2 for it:
function MyClass() {}
