I have a program (tool for Visual Studio users), but it's kinda immature and I need good feedback of potential users before release. What's the best places for this task?
Any links to active forums/communities would be nice.

Why not just release it to your audience and stamp it as a beta ? That way you'll get the feedback you require from your final audience and some respect for actually asking them for their input.

You don't say what your tool does, so I can't advise as to where you'd advertise this. But there must be related mailing lists and/or forums.

Do you have a website for downloads and information ? Can Google find it ? It may be worth investigating how to raise your profile via Google (other search engines are available!) so your users come to you, rather than the other way around.

Yes, I have a site to place it. My program is a productivity tool for Visual Studio users. Could you recommend mailing lists and forums?

I can't, I'm afraid. I'm not a Visual Studio user :-(

Why not post it here (mark it as CW) and then ask the programmers here? You can host the application in codeplex or sourceforge. This way it will be easy for you to manage and may be you can get more programmers to involve in it. It will be beneficial for everyone here.

What CW stands for?

Where can I read about it? I haven't found any good explanation.

@Skevar when u ask a question you can mark it as CW. When you do that up/down votes dont add values to the reputation. All common questions are normally marked CW and there by reeducing the chances of getting closed too ;-) as long it is programming related.
