Hello.
I wonder that, with a use of minimum custom code use, how easy or hard would it be, compared to previous versions, to build a community portal in Sharepoint 2010, in which users upload, view and comment videos, share videos and so on.
You can ofcourse take Youtube as an example.
Thanks.

I am not a professional programmer. I Googled for some information about RoR, found a project that may suitable for me, and then found a GitHub link. What is GitHub about? Is it just a place for sharing source code?

Hi,
I'm working on EPiServer Community 4 project. In development phase, I setup some predefine entity data (add some clubs, some forums, ...) and create/assign attribute to them.
How can I export those data (entity data and its attribute/attribute value) and import later? (I will import when installing my product for customer).

Hello, we're developing one service to be integrated with various social networks and would like to allow users to be authenticated with their facebook-google-twitter-etc accounts in a simple one-click way.
Most of the huge network providers permit to do it with their proprietary APIs, but for small group of programmers as we are to su...
I have an PHP based Youtube clone system installed on our server.
The same system is used in couple of countries. Let's say that I have 3 domains that all point to the same system:

They all redirect to some site named www.site.tv
These 3 countries have very similar languages so it makes sense to h...
I run the technical side of a discussion forum, which is plagued by a troll (a single physical person, as far as I can tell). It seems that the community has exhausted all means of communication (it is, beyond reasonable doubt, a net.troll, not a clueless user), including face-to-face.
I may need to block that person from visiting the s...

To learn ASP.NET MVC, I am thinking of creating a community forum like SO where people can rate posts, users etc. and the user can thereby gain points. I just can't figure out if the points should be added to the user profile whenever an action is done (post rated up/down, user created new post etc.) or if it should be calculated from th...
Hi folks,
I realise this is probably not the best place to post such as question but thought I'd try anyway. I'm developing a new community driven website in the same vein as SO. I'm just wondering the best way to get the website out there and visible.
I'm wondering if anyone knows of any websites used to promote new startups and suc...
I always wonder how these two stand against each other: community-driven and company-driven projects. Both being open source in this case.
I feel that community-driven projects tend to not having a clear vision and risk to feel very bloated over time. They add features but no one is caring about to keep it simple and remove obsolete stu...
I'm a part of a software market startup, building an upscale version of hotscripts / code-canyon and its ilk that allows developers to sell components / complete applications for web development (mostly framework oriented). Hi!
I didn't understand the community wiki at first. So I checked it for all my answers. Is there any way to undo it? And there should be an explanation (tooltip?) under it.
Please let me know fast if you know.
See you
