I have an app with multiple UIView subclasses that acts as pages for a UIScrollView. UIViews are moved back and forth to provide a seamless experience to the user. Since the content of the views is rather slow to draw, it's rendered on a single shared CGBitmapContext guarded by locks by NSOperation subclasses - executed one at once in an...
I have a detail view that includes three UIButtons, each of which pushes a different view on to the stack. One of the buttons is connected to a MKMapView. When that button is pushed I need to send the latitude and longitude variables from the detail view to the map view. I'm trying to add the string declaration in the IBAction:

I have a table view controller which doesn't let me manually scroll to the last row. It automatically scrolls slightly up so I could never select the last 2-3 rows. Anyone experienced this problem? Should I set a minimum height for the table view to solve this? If so how?

I installed iPhone OS 4.0 on my friends iPod Touch 3rd gen and forgot to add the udid to the provisioning portal. The device is locked and I can't seem to find a way to revert it to get the UDID. I don't have XCode here. Using iTunes, how can I revert it?

I'm making some tabs and I want to have my own delegate for them but when I try to send an action to the delegate nothing happens.
I also tried following this tutorial:

But it doesn't work for me :(

There have been some similar questions asked regarding Grid views, but none have been sufficiently answered (some have been left unanswered as the SDKs were under NDAs at the time).
The question is: Can anyone direct me towards a tutorial, or explain to me what steps to take to create a Grid View similar to iBooks, or the Yahoo! Enterta...
Hi everyone,
I'm currently kicking off a background thread to do some REST queries in my app delegate's didFinishLaunchingWithOptions. This thread creates some objects and populates the model as the rest of the app continues to load (because I don't block, and didFinishLaunchingWithOptions returns YES). I also put up a loading UIViewC...
Hi guys,
I think I must be going nuts here. I have a UINavigationController and in every view that I have pushed I have selected Black Navigation Bars in IB, but they all turn up as translucent ones.
What have I done wrong?
Thanks

I am attempting to wrap my head around one part of the Objective-C memory model (specifically on the iPhone, so no GC). My background is C/C++/Java, and I am having an issue with the following bit of code (also wondering if I am doing this in an "Objective-C way" or not):
- (NSSet *) retrieve

NSMutableSet *set;

We are preparing to develop an application that is exceptionally dynamic and interactive. It's particularly heavy on the graphics side.
We are 85% convinced that Adobe Flash built atop Flex is the right path to take, however...

I've implemented that default swipe-to-delete gesture in UITableView, and now I feel that this default button actually doesn't look good in the context. Also, it seems to not be localized. In french it still shows "delete" as text.
How can I provide a custom button here? This is how I implemented that guy:

Hi,
I know its possible to open an app from mobile safari using custom URL Handlers.
Is it possible to open the App Store from Safari on the iPhone and automatically install the app?
Or might it even be possible to open the app if it exists on the users device and to download it if it doesn't?
Best,

What is the best way to position a view relative to the size of its superview, when the bounds of the superview are not yet known?
I am trying to avoid hard-coding coordinates if it is at all possible. Perhaps this is silly, and if so, that's a perfectly acceptable answer.
I've run into this many times when working with custom UI. The ...
I have a simple app with a tab bar which based upon user input disables one or more of the bar items. I understand I need to use a UITabBarDelegate which I have tried to use.
