Me and my friend will be running the C++ programming lectures in school from November. (The basics of programming)

Obviously programming is still not such an attractive or easy subject that would be popular between young people.

So we decided we want to put some teaser posters in school that might help attract people to come and see a few lectures. Our idea is to make a small strip cartoon (something similar to what you can see on xkcd.com) - a short geeky joke that that's normally understood only by programmers.

Below the comics should be line saying something like "Come to understand".

Maybe this isn't the best idea how to attract people to this subject, but we found it really hard to come with something really catchy.

So I was just thinking that the community here could help us to find some comic (or joke that could be made a cartoon)

or maybe even something completely different that we could use for the posters.

Thanks a lot for your tips!

PS: Personally I found nice ones here but cant really tell which could be the best one.

I would suggest you not appeal only to programmers. You should try to appeal to those who might be interested in programming but would be oblivious to any inside jokes like this comic demonstrates.

You should look at ads for Full Sail and the like. Obviously they only entertain the idea that you go there to make games, but the idea is to show what you can do with the knowledge.

I would create posters showing the many facets of life programming is involved in. Military simulations, games, iPads, etc, etc.
