Hi
I need to block rotation to landscape orientation because my app crashes when it attempts to rotate views to landscape.
How do I block rotation to landscape and where can I setup the block such that it applies to all my views?
Thanks

Hi folks,
after rotating a label in flex the text still is a little bit blurry. I've made up a small example to show what I mean:

How can I avoid this? Thanks for any help!!

I have been spending many frustrating hours trying to get rotations working on the iPhone version of Tunepal.
Firstly, I have a tab bar controller, with a navigation controller controlling each of the views. I actually only want one of my views to be able to rotate and that is the TuneDisplay. I have a subclassed the UITabBarController ...
Hey,
For university we're supposed to write a game (the language is modula2 little chance you know it).
Each tetromino is defined through a central piece and 3 relative pieces,
Now when it comes to rotation i just rotate the relative blocks (linear algebra).
What i am asking myself is how to handle the rotations a user does when the pi...
I'm messing about with some stuff in XNA and am trying to move an object around asteroids-style in that you press left and right to rotate and up/down to go forwards and backwards in the direction you are pointing.
I've got the rotation of the sprite done, but i can't get the object to move in the direction you've pointed it, it always ...
The documentation says that if I want to support both portrait and landscape, I basically have two ways of doing that:
Set up the viewcontroller's view so that the subviews autoresize correctly and make smaller changes programmatically at runtime
If the changes are more substantial, create an alternative landscape interface and push/po...
So for complicated reasons I am managing view rotations myself, and am only implementing UIDeviceOrientationPortrait as the autorotating orientation.
Anyway, when one clicks the screen lock on the iPad, the device will rotate to UIDeviceOrientationPortrait, which will cause my code to rotate, which I do not want to happen. For instance ...
My app is landscape and returns true only for UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight in the root view controller's shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation
call.
However when I rotate the device
to portrait and back, I sometime see black corners rotate through as if a thick black frame around the display is rotating and just visible on the...
Hi everyone,
I am writing an application for Windows Mobile 6.1, and I would like the application always run on landscape mode, regardless of the screen rotation. Does anyone have any idea?
Thanks :)

Hello,
NB: I'll present this question in degrees purely for simplicity, radians, degrees, different zero-bearing, the problem is essentially the same.
Does anyone have any ideas on the code behind rotational interpolation? Given a linear interpolation function: Lerp(from, to, amount), where amount is 0...1 which returns a value between ...
Here is a flow that I can not figure out how to work. ( when I state (working) it means that in that current state the rules for orientation for that view are working correctly)
First View: TableView on the stack of a UINavigationController that is a tab of UITabBarController.
TableView is only allowed to be portrait. (working)
When yo...
(Correction: the view controllers are not auto-resizing instead of not auto-rotating.)
In an iPad app, I have five regular view controllers (not navigation controllers or anything like that) inside a tab bar controller. The tab bar controller is just a plain UITabBarController declared in the app delegate.
All the view controllers ret...
Hi
I have some a UIView with several user created subviews. The user can move and rotate the subviews. I'm using the transform attribute of UIView to accomplish this. I want to save the "document" in order to recreate it later.
I'm currently writing out the transform attribute out to a file along with some other data. But the transform...
I have a rectangle of any arbitrary width and height. I know X,Y, width, and height. How do I solve the upper right hand coordinates when the rectangle is rotated N degrees? I realized if it were axis aligned I would simply solve for (x,y+width). Unforunatly this doesn't hold true when I apply a transform matrix on the rectangle to rotat...
I'm trying to display an object in the view which can be rotated naturally by dragging the cursor/touchscreen. At the moment I've got X and Y rotation of an object like this
glRotatef(rotateX, 0f, 1f, 0f); // Dragging along X, so spin around Y axis
glRotatef(rotateY, 1f, 0f, 0f);
I understand why this doesn't do what I want it to do (...
Hi,
Im making a game in xna where a tank has to move over a landscape.
I need to be able find the bottom of the tank when it is rotated so I can make it move up and down as the player goes over the landscape.
for example if i have a sprite at with its top left corner at 400,300 and i rotate it around its center by 45 degrees around its...
I have a class called forest and a property called fixedPositions that stores 100 points (x,y) and they are stored 250x2 (rows x columns) in MatLab. When I select 'fixedPositions', I can click scatter and it will plot the points.
Now, I want to rotate the plotted points and I have a rotation matrix that will allow me to do that.

I have a navigation driven app. I need that app to rotate. The UINavigationController is the root controller/view in the window. I know (and have experienced why) it is a no-no to subclass UINavigationController. I know all i have to do is insert:
- (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientatio...
I've seen similar questions on this issue, but they are related to native apps.
I build web apps for the iPhone/iPad that run in the browser (Safari).
I was wondering if there is a way to prevent orientation change in the browser, perhaps via some meta tag.
I know of the viewport meta tag which allows you to specify scale and zooming ca...
TLDR I want to rotate a Feature in my open layers.
I want it to face a certain heading that I am receiving from server.
I know that you can make a feature spin on a point or so on:
window.setInterval(function() {rotateFeature(
pointFeature, 360 / 20, origin)}, 100);
as from the open layers example.
But I want to be able to...
