Reading on another forum I've came across the world of CSS Frameworks. The one I've been specifically looking at is BluePrint. I was wondering if anyone else had come across CSS frameworks, suggest which is the best and if they are worth the effort?

I am looking for a bells and whistles CSS framework. I have found a number online that deal with "grids", and some that deal with "typography" and others that deal with "resetting".
What I have not found is something that will give my web applications a consistent reusable style or theme.
I guess it would have to have a number of prede...
I've been looking at different CSS frameworks. The two major players seem to be 960.gs and Blueprint.
My question is simple: what are the pros and cons to each, and which do you recommend? And are there other frameworks that I should consider instead?
Putting my question into context, I'm the designer on a site that's similar to StackO...

I haven't done web development for about 6 years. I'm trying to get back into it and there is a lot of new stuff out there. I've chosen to write my next project with Perl and Catalyst.
I keep hearing about various JavaScript and CSS frameworks. I know very little about these frameworks so maybe this question is overly broad and ope...
Past, now irrelevant back story: I was trying to make some changes to BlueBand and get 'up and running pretty quickly' but after looking at it further this is no longer an option due to tables that a previous developer introduced into the layout. I'll have to live with this and make what tweaks I can.
So, looking towards future greenfie...
CSS frameworks have nice styles inbuilt and ask you to focuses on the grids but still there is a bit of dependency and lack of freedom it provide.. If I need to generate a webpage by looking on a PSD based mockup screen ..either i will use the classes provided by the framework but if that actual measurements does not exist I need to agai...
I've looked at two CSS frameworks that could save me a lot of time (Blueprint, 960gs) but have questions on how to use them and comply with web standards. For example, Blueprint has things like:
<div class="span-24 last">
and 960gs like: <div class="grid_6 prefix_3 suffix_3">
This doesn't personally bother me, but I've seen mention ...

Comparing sites designed in 960 with sites designed using Blueprint, it seems to me the 960 sites are a lot sharper.
I don't know if this is a coincidence of the samples I'm looking at.
Or is there something about 960 that is more conducive to good design?

I am looking forward to pros/cons on using 960 grid css framework. When using grid css framework I feel that I am back to the old days using table to do all the layouts. Because everything is defined as classes <div class="grid_3 prefix_10">. And this seems to me is mixing the layout with html. If you look at csszengarden I really don’t ...
