I have a page A containing 2 children iFrames called B and C.
A and B are on different domains.
On pressing a button in B I would like to change C's URL.

Here is the JS code in B:
window.parent.frames['C'].location.href = "http://ran...

Hello,
I'm working on an isometric game for fast browsers that support <canvas>, which is great fun. To save information of each tile, I use a two-dimensional array which contains numbers representing tile IDs, like:
var level = [[1, 1, 1, 2, 1, 0],
[0, 1, 1, 2, 0, 1],
[0, 1, 1, 2, 1, 1]];
var tiles = [
{...
Currently i'm using below code which works well.
$("#topperAtBaseLevel:visible, #lowerAtBaseLevel:visible, #midAtBaseLevel").hide();
any optimised code? (i cant use same class)
i mean how to use :visible rightly?

Hey there!
I have very long integer sequences that look like this (arbitrary length!):
0000000001110002220033333
Now I need some algorithm to convert this string into something compressed like
a9b3a3c3a2d5
Which means "a 9 times, then b 3 times, then a 3 times" and so on, where "a" stands for 0, "b" for 1, "c" for 2 and "d" for...
I'm doing a bit of preliminary research on an upcoming project and I have a quick question that I figure I'll throw up here while I look elsewhere, in case anyone has any experience with this.
The question is simple: is it possible to read a QR code using JavaScript? Is there a remote service to which I can pass a bitmap object from a c...

I built a jquery slideshow based on the tutorial found here:

I'm having trouble getting tinyMCE to work with the new jQuery 1.4.2 on IE6. In my project, we've been using tinyMCE with no problems with jQuery 1.3.2. But now the upgrade has brought on a weird problem. Whenever I click any button in the toolbar (whether it be a custom one or the standard ones like bold, italics), IE6 fires an unload e...
I have a PHP project setup in Netbeans (v6.8) where all the PHP files are on a remote server and in a single directory. Whenever I save files locally they are updated on the remote server via SFTP.

Using jQuery's position() or offset(), I can't seeme to get the top/left coordinates of an image map area. It works in FF, but nothing else - no webkit, IE, Opera.

});
