I need to get access to the iTunes tags in an RSS feed using PHP. I've used simplepie before for podcast feeds, but I'm not sure how to get the iTunes tags using it. Is there a way to use simplepie to do it or is there a better way?
Okay I tried Simple XML.
All this (the code below) seems to work

My computer at home is set up to automatically download some stuff from RSS feeds (mostly torrents and podcasts). However, I don't always keep this computer on. The sites I subscribe to have a relatively large throughput, so when I turn the computer back on it has no idea what it missed between the the time it was turned off and the late...
I'm going to build a Classic Music website and the client already has several podcasts for about 3 min each, and I want to know if should I just add as QT / WMP file to listen and a ZIP to download, or should I use a web podcast hosting solution and just add the link to them?

I really don't want to rile anyone's feathers and I really enjoy blogs like Joel, Coding Horror, Scott Hanselman, etc.
However, what are some good blogs/podcasts that focus on other platforms besides Microsoft based ones or maybe even no particular platform at? In particular I am interested in areas like Python, Ruby, Java, C, but any ...

Hey. I'm just wondering how the general Stack Overflow listening population choose to best listen to the podcast, and the wealth of others many of you somehow keep on top of. I know it's both subjective depends on your situation, but hour-long blocks attention in one's 'spare' time can be difficult to optimally carve out.

Hey, I was listening to the steve yegge podcast (#29, around 21:29), and in part of it, they were talking about "how to tell if the person you're talking to is smart", and they said that one way was to talk about "smart people things" (I'm paraphrasing), like "piano numbers" and "lambda calculus".
I'm secure enough to admit that I'm not ...

I'm looking for some decent podcasts aimed at junior developers, or those who might be coming from a different background.

I've always been of the opinion that large switch statements are a symptom of bad OOP design. In the past, i've read articles that discuss this topic and they have provided altnerative OOP based approaches, typically based on polymorphism to instantiate the right object to handle the case.

This is tangentially related to my previous question regarding using a "fringe" technology. I am in the process of initiating a complete, ground-up ...

I used to listen to Dot Net Rocks and remember looking for a good Java one a while ago, but as my workload intensified I didn't have the time to listen anymore and I never found a good Java one.

I have a developer on my staff that chronically overshoots deadlines, and estimates. On several projects the last week or two everyday I hear "It should be done by the end of the day". This developer does good work.
